Based on Presidential Decree P.D. 7/2018 (incorporating European Directive 2015/2302), by booking any of the Deskaway coworking trips, you affirm that you have thoroughly read, understood, and accepted the following General Terms and Conditions, which form an integral part of your travel contract with Deskaway.
Deskaway organizes trips that combine accommodation, coworking spaces, and activities (package travel). Deskaway is not responsible for individual services booked independently by the client (e.g., flights to/from the destination).
1. Booking & Payments
A booking is valid only upon receipt of the required deposit.
- Deposit: To secure your spot, a deposit equal to 50% of the total program value is required.
- Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to the departure date. Failure to do so allows Deskaway to cancel the booking, retaining the deposit as a cancellation fee.
Payments must be made electronically via approved methods listed on our website. Legal tax invoices/receipts will be issued electronically.
2. Cancellation Policy by the Client
All bookings and deposits made with Deskaway are final and non-refundable.
- Exceptions Upon Request: While the standard policy is non-refundable, Deskaway may, at its discretion, consider partial refunds or credits for future trips due to severe unforeseen circumstances. Requests must be submitted in writing and are not guaranteed to be approved.
Participants are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive personal travel insurance covering trip cancellation costs due to unexpected circumstances.
3. Cancellation or Modification by Deskaway
Deskaway reserves the right to cancel the trip in the following circumstances:
- Low Participation: If the minimum number of participants is not met, you will be notified at least 15 days prior to departure.
- Force Majeure: Deskaway is not liable for cancellations due to unforeseeable events beyond its control (e.g., extreme weather, epidemics, strikes, political unrest).
In the event of cancellation, clients will receive a full refund of the amount paid to Deskaway, excluding any costs incurred with third-party providers. Deskaway retains the right to make minor modifications to the itinerary to ensure the trip runs smoothly.
4. Accommodation & Coworking Space
- Rooms: Check-in and check-out times are typically after 14:00 or 15:00 for check-in, and before 11:00 or 12:00 for check-out. However, these times are subject to the policies of the specific accommodation and may vary.
- Coworking Space: Deskaway will make its best effort to provide a suitable coworking environment with a strong Wi-Fi connection and necessary facilities as outlined in the itinerary. However, Deskaway does not guarantee the quality, condition, or availability of the coworking space and facilities. Participants acknowledge that any issues related to the workspace, including, but not limited to, inadequate facilities, internet or power outages, noise disturbances, or any other events that may disrupt their work sessions, are beyond Deskaway's control. Deskaway will not be held liable for any disruptions or inconveniences that may occur during the working sessions.
Participants are strongly encouraged to prepare accordingly and are responsible for their own arrangements in the event of any disruptions to the coworking experience.
5. Participant Obligations & Code of Conduct
- Travel Documents: Participants must obtain and safeguard all necessary travel documents, including passports, ID cards, and visas.
- Punctuality: Arriving on time at designated meeting points is crucial. Deskaway will not accommodate late arrivals, and any additional costs to catch up are the participant's responsibility.
- Code of Conduct: Respect and civility toward fellow participants, staff, and local cultures are mandatory. Disruptive or offensive behavior may result in immediate removal from the program without a refund.
6. Insurance & Liability
Deskaway carries Professional Liability Insurance as required by Greek law (P.D. 7/2018).
As an intermediary between travelers and third-party service providers (hotels, transport companies, activity operators), Deskaway is not liable for accidents, injuries, lost belongings, or other incidents occurring during the trip.
Participants are strongly urged to secure their own individual health and travel insurance.
7. Dispute Resolution
Deskaway and the client commit to resolving disputes in good faith. If a resolution cannot be reached, Greek Law applies, with the Courts of Athens, Greece holding exclusive jurisdiction.
By completing your booking and paying the deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and fully accepted these Terms and Conditions.
